Dealing with uncertainty and change

Welcome to this video on uncertainty and change recorded just after the pandemic lockdowns had ended.

How are you feeling about the uncertainties in life and how do you deal with change?
We share our personal experiences of going through uncertainty and also give some information drawn from the worlds of counselling and spirituality.

Rachel lives in Houghton Regis and is a teacher and counsellor and Manager of New Directions Counselling, Leighton Buzzard.
Rachel says, "Iā€™m liking emerging from lockdown, and find it problematic if I dwell too much on the thought that further lockdowns might be necessary ā€“ I find uncertainty stressful".
Colin lives in Leighton Buzzard and is a community worker with Hockliffe Street Baptist Church. He is a a registered and accredited counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors and also registered with BACP, the leading counselling body.
How does he deal with uncertainty and change?
Colin says, "my standard reaction is to get tense and stressed when things are uncertain. When big life changes threaten I can sometimes put my head in the sand but at other times in my life I have embraced and welcomed change".
